I think My initiating action (IA) will be on introducing Medal of Honor Recipients to schools. It may be a speech format but that could change. I will be rewriting the essay at the same time so the IA may change a little depending on what I use in the essay.
At class I found out how much people don't know about the Medal of Honor. I need to address this issue first or people won't really understand how important the Medal actually is and I will have a hard time convincing them it's a worthwhile project to undertake.
So that is the first idea I have and the finished product might look different.

Okay. By Friday I want some more details about this: what will you actually hand in to me (at this point in your thinking at least), how will it work, etc. For instance, will you write the speech and then videotape yourself giving it, or just write it? What kind of speech will it be, and in what context would you give it?
Actually I think I have decided on the form of a letter which would be sent to schools.
The first section will explain the Medal of Honor. The second section will be on the need of role models for kids and how the MoH recipients fit this role and the third section will be on how to get the Medal of Honor recipients come and talk at schools.
This would work better then the speech format I think.
You ought to give a "civilianized" version of one of the MoH citations, in order to give people a clear picture of the insanity involved in being awarded the medal. Also, you can find Dominion Ale at your local Kroger!
